The biggest upset of the week belonged to Northwestern, who took down 127th ranked Northwestern, 23-0.
Bloomer extended the longest winning streak in Heart O'North this week by beating the Tigers, 23-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Cumberland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kyle Narges threw for 92 and two touchdowns and Zach Nyhus had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Nyhus chipped in 85 yards. Narges helped Cumberland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 27 yards.
Cody Fillion made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Beavers topped Ladysmith. The defensive back pulled down one interception.
Cumberland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Beavers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Narges has thrown for 922 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Travis Miller has 15 catches for 290 yards. Nyhus leads the league in rushing with 851 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bloomer takes on Northwestern. John Post's team is currently in fourth, while Ray Kosey's team is in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Blackhawks take on the Tigers. Bloomer has allowed 114 points this season, while Northwestern has given up 139.
Cumberland led Heart O'North in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Lumberjacks. Narges ran for 68 yards in the win.
