Foxcroft Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Old Town Coyotes at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Foxcroft Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Old Town is ranked third).
On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Foxcroft Academy beat Hermon 57-52. 57 seems to be a good number for Foxcroft Academy as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Jadon Richard, who scored 25 points along with four steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Silas Topolski, who scored six points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Old Town put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Houlton with points to spare, taking the game 51-34.
Foxcroft Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Old Town, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Foxcroft Academy came up short against Old Town in their previous matchup back in February, falling 52-43. Can Foxcroft Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
