 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ben Becker, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.  Branson Galyen was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Franklin County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Franklin County will be playing at home against East Central at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for North Decatur, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Milan at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. North Decatur is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
