The Newington Nor'easters will face off against the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Newington put up the most  runs they have all season  on Tuesday. They fell just short of Naugatuck by a score of  16-15. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Friday (12), the Nor'easters still had to take the loss.

  Aniyah Ross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 2.2  runs per game.  Kiley Connors was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern strolled into their game  on Monday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They never let Northwest Catholic get on the board and left with  a   19-0  victory. The  game marked the Lancers' most dominant  win of the  season so far.
 Hailey Beebe and  Leah Webber made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Beebe   struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Webber   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Beebe has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. At bat,  Beebe  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  doubles and two  RBI, while  Webber  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Corinne Sutula was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Lyla Wegiel, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 Bristol Eastern  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in four consecutive  contests.
 Newington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bristol Eastern, their victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-0.
Tuesday's   match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Newington hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Bristol Eastern struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .382. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Newington skirted past Bristol Eastern  7-5 when the teams last played  back in April of 2022. Will the Nor'easters repeat their success,  or do  the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
