After flying high against Cottonwood last Friday, Bear River came back down to earth. The Bears were dealt a 58-14 loss at the hands of the Box Elder Bees on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Bees recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Although Bear River took the loss, they still got scores from Eli Braegger and Glaiden Behrens.
Bear River now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Box Elder, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Bear River and Box Elder will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bears will square off against rival Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. Meanwhile, Box Elder is set to face off against their familiar foe Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
