After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beaver Country Day, Berwick Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Wheeler Warriors. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.
Curt Savage spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits.
At the plate, Tucker Montecalvo was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Berwick Academy is undefeated when Montecalvo posts two or more runs, but 2-3-1 otherwise. Easton Genest also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
