The Nedrose Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-48, which was the final score in Nedrose's tilt against Westhope/Newburg on Saturday. Nedrose has not had much luck with Westhope/Newburg recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Powers Lake/Burke Central and snuck past 46-43.
Nedrose's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Nedrose took a serious blow against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood when the teams last played back in February, falling 62-33. Can Nedrose avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
