The Marian Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Notre Dame Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Marian, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Marian beat the Falcons 48-35. Given Marian's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Falcons are ranked 441st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Swanson, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. Molly McLeod was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy suffered a tough 48-27 loss at the hands of the Fighting Irish on Saturday. Notre Dame Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The win makes it two in a row for Marian and bumps their season record up to 9-7. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
