Girard won the last time they faced Fort Scott and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers.

Girard found their leader in sophomore Breelee Merrell, who had nine digs. Megan Bennett also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Girard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Fort Scott, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Girard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Labette County on the 20th. As for Fort Scott, they will head out on the road to take on Parsons on Tuesday.
