Taylor County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Marion County 65-37 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Taylor County has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Putnam County's game on Friday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Hancock Central by a score of 66-64. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Putnam County came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Hancock Central is ranked 476th).
Taylor County's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Putnam County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
