After soaring to 67 points the game before, Cypress Creek were a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They were outmatched by Winter Park on the road and fell 56-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cypress Creek in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Olympia can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 54-49 W over Foundation Academy.
Olympia found their leader in underclassman Ava Pazos, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Pazos hasn't dropped below three steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Arlinda Roundtree, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds.
Cypress Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Olympia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Cypress Creek was dealt a bruising 60-28 loss at the hands of the Titans in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Cypress Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
