Spring Creek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the South Tahoe Vikings by a score of 9-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-9 on Friday.

Joseph Bright and Hudson Sorenson did most of the damage at the plate: Bright got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Sorenson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Bright has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Gabe Zubiria was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Spring Creek's record is now 8-5. As for South Tahoe, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spring Creek beat the Vikings by a score of 9-1 later that day.
