Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Center Skates Past Word of God Christian Academy with Ease

Victory Christian Center entered their tilt with Word of God Christian Academy on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 62-29 win over the Word of God Christian Academy Holy Rams. The Kings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Victory Christian Center was led to victory by Roselyn Sanchez and Fernanda Ramos. Sanchez went 7 of 13 en route to 20 points and five assists, while Ramos went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points. The dominant performance gave Ramos a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabell Berhe, who posted eight points.

Several Holy Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quaranna Blackwell, who put up 11 points. Another player making a difference was Khalisah Bush, who had seven points.

Victory Christian Center's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Word of God Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Victory Christian Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-36 loss against Cresset Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Word of God Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-27 win against Howard on the 9th.
