They strolled past Unity Christian with points to spare, taking the game 57-41. This was payback for Pathway Christian, who suffered a 37-36 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pathway Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Preston Yutzy, who scored 19 points along with 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Yutzy has scored at least 25% of Pathway Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Asher Stutzman, who scored 11 points along with 5 assists.
When it comes to explaining why Unity Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carsen Bennett. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
Pathway Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Unity Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
