York is a perfect 10-0 against Proviso West since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Dukes will challenge the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. York is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
York barely beat Lyons the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dukes were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Lions on Tuesday. Considering the Dukes have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Danny Raible looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Owen Chael was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Fleming, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Proviso West came into Tuesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Leyden 8-7 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since March 27th.
Proviso West's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Fuentes, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
York pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Proviso West, their record now sits at 4-9.
Proviso West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: York has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Proviso West, though, as they've been averaging 9.5 hits. Given York's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
York took their victory against Proviso West when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 17-1 score. Do the Dukes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
