The Tomales Braves will be playing at home against the California School for the Deaf Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Tomales was beaten by Branson 72-30.
Meanwhile, California School for the Deaf put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Swett 54-20 at home. Winning may never get old, but California School for the Deaf sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Irving Senegal, who rushed for 255 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Senegal was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Aiden Shupe was another key contributor, throwing for 138 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Tomales' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for California School for the Deaf, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Tomales suffered a grim 68-48 defeat to California School for the Deaf when the teams last played back in October of 2021. Thankfully for Tomales, Johnte Haggins (who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
