After flying high against the Tranquillity Tigers last Tuesday, the Dos Palos Broncos came back down to earth. Dos Palos had to suffer through a rough 80-36 loss at the hands of Mendota. Dos Palos has not had much luck with Mendota recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Dos Palos lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacquez Jones, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Robey Peacock, who scored 11 points.
Dos Palos' defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Mendota, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Dos Palos will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Coalinga at 5:30 p.m. As for Mendota, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Caruthers at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
