Volleyball Recap: Axtell Gets the Win

Axtell won the last time they faced Wilcox-Hildreth and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Axtell took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11.

Emily Danburg paced Axtell's offense, picking up ten kills. Danburg got some help from Madison Wells and her 19 assists. Addyson Skaggs controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Axtell's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coincidentally, Axtell and Wilcox-Hildreth will both be playing Shelton the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
