It was a good run, but the Bronson Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Concord by a score of 66-63. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bronson came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Concord is ranked 179th).
Despite the loss, Bronson still got an impressive performance from Kamron Brackett, who scored 37 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Brackett scored a full 58.7% of Bronson's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sayler Wotta, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.
Bronson's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. As for Concord, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Bronson will take on Whitmore Lake in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at. Concord will be home for the holidays to greet Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
