The Red Cloud Warriors were the 56-14 winner over the Franklin Flyers when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Red Cloud took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin on Thursday. Red Cloud just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Red Cloud's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wyatt Frey, who threw for 238 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Caden Frey did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 118 receiving yards.
Calvin Carraher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Franklin, rushing for 384 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 19.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 151 yards and four touchdowns. Carraher's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Grant Haussermann also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Red Cloud's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-4.
Red Cloud will head out on the road to face off against Potter-Dix at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Potter-Dix is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
