The Red Level Tigers waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 71-63 victory over Shields. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Shields lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dante Leffall, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Cantangelo Hicks, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Red Level pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Shields, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
Red Level will be playing in front of their home fans against Georgiana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shields won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hillcrest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three matchups.
