Volleyball Recap: Caroline Tabeling and Kenadi Sieg Secure Win for St. Henry

St. Henry proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Brentwood Bruins 2-1. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was St. Henry who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 15-9.

Leading St. Henry to victory were Kenadi Sieg and Caroline Tabeling. Sieg had 14 digs and three assists, while Tabeling had five digs and two assists. That's the most assists Tabeling has posted since back in September of 2024.

Brentwood's loss came despite strong showings from Queen Howse and Lauren Miller. Howse had 13 digs and two assists, while Miller had 11 digs and two assists. Howse is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

St. Henry's record now sits at 3-0. As for Brentwood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coincidentally, St. Henry and Brentwood will both be playing Sacred Heart the next time they take the court. The Crusaders will host the Valkyries at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bruins will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
