Kennebunk extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They came up short against the Biddeford Tigers, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 back in April.
Kennebunk saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Hogue, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
As for Biddeford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
On Biddeford's side, Madi Roy was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Roy was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Biddeford let Mariah Villandry and Kaysie Mitchell run wild. Villandry went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI, while Mitchell went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Villandry has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Aine Sanchioni, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Kennebunk didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 loss against Bonny Eagle on the 11th. As for Biddeford, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Marshwood on the 11th.
