After losing to Yorkville Christian the last time they met, South Beloit decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Beloit Sobos snuck past the Yorkville Christian Mustangs with a 68-62 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sobos.

Yorkville Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jordan Purvis, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tray Alford, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 18 points and six boards.

South Beloit's win bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Yorkville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 20-11.

Coming up, South Beloit will square off against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in South Beloit's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. Yorkville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
