The Chilton County Tigers won the last time they faced the Wetumpka Indians, and things went their way on Thursday too. Chilton County simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wetumpka 54-20 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.
Chilton County was led to victory by Tyeshia Williams and Iasia Anderson. Williams almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 steals, while Anderson dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least 25% of Chilton County's points. Maggy Harrelson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Chilton County back to even at 4-4. As for Wetumpka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Chilton County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Montgomery Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Wetumpka, they will head out on the road to face off against Prattville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
