Softball Game Preview: Lake-Lehman Knights vs. MMI Preparatory School

Lake-Lehman is a perfect 10-0 against MMI Preparatory School since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will be playing at home against MMI Preparatory School at 4:15 p.m. Lake-Lehman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Lake-Lehman's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Greater Nanticoke Area. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kaitlyn Brudnicki was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Shorts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Brudnicki wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lake-Lehman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greater Nanticoke Area didn't got any hits.

Meanwhile, MMI Preparatory School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Wyoming Area on Wednesday, falling 17-0. MMI Preparatory School hasn't had much luck with Wyoming Area recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lake-Lehman's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for MMI Preparatory School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Lake-Lehman's way against MMI Preparatory School when the teams last played back in May of 2022, as Lake-Lehman made off with a 21-2 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do MMI Preparatory School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
