Make it 12 blowout wins for the Wicomico Indians this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Crisfield 63-16 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Wicomico sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Wicomico's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sariah Sanon, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. Gabrielle Corbin was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Wicomico's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.2 points. As for Crisfield, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wicomico will take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pocomoke will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Indians are ranked 46th). As for Crisfield, they will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
