Elkhart got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Polack out in front who had seven kills and two aces. Polack has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bayle Mitchell, who had six kills, three digs, three aces, and one block.
Meanwhile, Penn didn't have quite enough to beat Silver Creek on Saturday and fell 2-1.
Elkhart will need to focus on slowing down Montana Swartz, one of several Penn players who made an impact when they last played. She had 12 assists and 11 digs. Another player making a difference was Carson Petty, who had ten assists and nine digs.
Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Penn, their loss dropped their record down to 19-6.
