Watchung Hills Regional has won 15 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Red Bank Catholic has won 15 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Warriors will welcome the Caseys at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Watchung Hills Regional will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Hillsborough on Thursday. The Warriors blew past the Raiders 11-3. The Warriors have beaten the Raiders the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Raiders has come to flipping the script.

Mia Simon made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Leila Romero was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Kalfus, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
Watchung Hills Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.4.
Red Bank Catholic came out on top against Southern Regional on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run first inning. The Caseys put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 11-5 victory.
Jayden Kane was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Torri Case was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Red Bank Catholic's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Watchung Hills Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Watchung Hills Regional has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Red Bank Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
