They snuck past West Forsyth with a 48-42 win. Given Bishop Moore's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 72nd in Florida, while West Forsyth is ranked 209th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bishop Moore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carly LaMorte, who scored eight points along with three steals. Victoria Zaremba was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Bishop Moore has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for West Forsyth, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Moore's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spruce Creek at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Spruce Creek will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for West Forsyth, they will head out on the road to face off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
