In what's become a running theme this season, the Hemlock Huskies gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 60-20 victory over Carrollton. The win was familiar territory for Hemlock who now have seven in a row.
Hemlock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Borsenik led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Hannah Borsenik was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Hemlock's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Carrollton, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemlock will take on the Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cass City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Huskies are ranked 47th). As for Carrollton, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
