Mora is 8-2 against McCurdy since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rangers/Rangerettes will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. One thing working in Mora's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Thursday, Mora got the win against Pecos by a conclusive 15-4. The victory continues a trend for the Rangers/Rangerettes in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.
Cierra Benavidez and Justina Duran made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Benavidez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Duran pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. At the plate, Benavidez went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Duran went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Aspen Alcon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonrisa Martinez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Mora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McCurdy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Santa Rosa with a sharp 16-6 win on Wednesday.
The team relied heavily on Mariana Arambula, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Karina Archuleta also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
McCurdy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-13. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Mora, their record is now 14-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mora has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like McCurdy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Mora skirted past McCurdy 13-11 in their previous meeting on Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers/Rangerettes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
