North Farmington has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Groves Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Farmington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Groves likes a good challenge.
North Farmington pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zeeland West. The loss was North Farmington's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Groves was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 55-51 to Canton. While losing is never fun, Groves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Canton is ranked 112th).
North Farmington's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Groves, they bumped their record down to 3-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
North Farmington couldn't quite finish off Groves in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 and fell 35-33. Can North Farmington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
