The Creighton Prep Junior Jays can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They breezed by Buena Vista on the road to the tune of 66-26. That 40 points margin sets a new team best for Creighton Prep this season.
Dillon Claussen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Claussen is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinell Parker, who scored 12 points.
When it comes to explaining why Buena Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Carter Canion. Despite the final result, he scored six points.
Creighton Prep pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Buena Vista, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Creighton Prep will head out on the road to face off against Bellevue West on Thursday. Bellevue West will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for Buena Vista, Buena Vista and Jefferson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
