After two weeks on the road, Snohomish is heading back home. On Friday they take on Edmonds-Woodway at Snohomish HS at 7:00 PM. Snohomish are coming into the matchup hot, having won three in a row.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Snohomish ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They snuck past Shorecrest with a 33-27 win. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (21) and coasted on those for the victory.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Edmonds-Woodway, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor by a 33-7 margin over Lynnwood. The win was a breath of fresh air for Edmonds-Woodway as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Their wins bumped Snohomish to 3-2 and Edmonds-Woodway to 1-4. In their victory, Edmonds-Woodway relied heavily on senior Capassio Cherry, who rushed for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns. Snohomish will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
