Everything went Rosman's way against Robbinsville on Tuesday as Rosman made off with a 12-4 win. Kreed Smith and Eli McCall made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Smith pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Meanwhile, McCall pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Furthermore, Smith didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. At bat, Smith scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while McCall went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tyler Rollins, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Queen, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Swain County lost 18-1 to Smoky Mountain on Friday.
Swain County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Lewis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
The victory made it two in a row for Rosman and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Swain County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
