Basketball Recap: WACO Has No Trouble Against Lone Tree

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask WACO). They took down the Lone Tree Lions 48-33 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Warriors with their most commanding win of the season.

WACO now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lone Tree, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. WACO will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winfield-Mt. Union at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Lone Tree, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lone Tree Lions take on the Pekin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pekin will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lone Tree surely won't give up without a fight.
