Meanwhile, Cottondale entered their tilt with Bethlehem on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Marley Green made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Green was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Cottondale pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Marianna, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-15.
Marianna might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Cottondale in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
