The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Chattanooga Christian by a score of 63-54. Given Franklin-Simpson's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fourth in Kentucky, while Chattanooga Christian is ranked 77th in Tennessee), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The match was Cawthorn's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lyniah Brown, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Franklin-Simpson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against South Oldham at 1:00 p.m. on December 22nd. South Oldham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Franklin-Simpson likes a good challenge.
