Schnell was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Jenna Barney was a standout: she got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  home run the last three times she's  played.  Shelby Arellano was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-6.
 Coeur d'Alene's defeat  ended  a  13-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 5-3. As for Lewiston, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record  this season.
