Eastern Hancock can attribute much of their success to Caiden Willis, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Willis scored 15 or more points. Luke Morris was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Lapel came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Daleville 73-53. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Lapel has posted since December 15, 2023.

Eastern Hancock didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lapel in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Hancock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
