Football Game Preview: Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins vs. Fort Wayne Snider Panthers

Fort Wayne Northrop hasn't had much luck against Fort Wayne Snider recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bruins will challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Fort Wayne Northrop is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.5 points per game this season.

Fort Wayne Northrop proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 41) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 21-18. The 21-point effort marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Levi Portee and Kobe Reese. Portee rushed for 53 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries while Reese rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown. Those 84 rushing yards gave Reese a new career-high.

Fort Wayne Northrop was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Fort Wayne Snider and Homestead, and Homestead kept the tradition alive. The Panthers were beaten by the Spartans 38-0 on Friday.
