Bay has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the McComb Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while McComb is ranked 89th).
Last Friday, Bay ended up a good deal behind Moss Point and lost 38-23.
Meanwhile, McComb unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 72-54 bruising from Lanier.
Bay's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-16. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for McComb, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
Bay barely slipped by McComb when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 36-35. Does Bay have another victory up their sleeve, or will McComb turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
