On Thursday, the Countryside Cougars's game  was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against St. Petersburg by a score of  41-31. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Countryside.
 Countryside found their leader in underclassman  Ally Wright, who  scored 30 points along with seven  rebounds and seven  steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which  Wright has scored at least a third of Countryside's points.  Ali Strickland was another key contributor,  scoring five points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Countryside is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for St. Petersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Countryside won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Shorecrest Prep at 7:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Shorecrest Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for St. Petersburg, they will be playing at home against East Lake at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
