On Friday Cordell take on Frederick at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Cordell, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Cordell secured a 13-8 W over Hinton. The success made it back-to-back wins for Cordell.
Meanwhile, Frederick got themselves on the board against Merritt last Friday, but Merritt never followed suit. Frederick made easy work of Merritt and carried off a 28-0 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Frederick had established a 21-0 advantage.
Their wins bumped Cordell to 2-4 and Frederick to 6-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Cordell and Frederick clash.
