Grove Christian School has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Grove Christian School's defense has only allowed 26 points per game this season, so Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's offense will have their work cut out for them.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grove Christian School gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The New Community School 47-6 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-4.
Grove Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emily Hopkins led the charge by scoring eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Fisher, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot posted their biggest win since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They put the hurt on Amelia Academy with a sharp 46-26 win.
The win got Grove Christian School back to even at 4-4. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Grove Christian School couldn't quite finish off Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 30-28. Can Grove Christian School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
