The Graham-Kapowsin Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Rogers Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Graham-Kapowsin 4, Rogers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Graham-Kapowsin gave up the first runs last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Puyallup by a score of 7-4. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Macee Matison was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton McCulloch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Graham-Kapowsin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Rogers waltzed into their contest last Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 8, 2024.
Sierra Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rogers saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Walling, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Rogers' win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their record now sits at 4-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Graham-Kapowsin hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rogers struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Graham-Kapowsin suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Rogers in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
