The Seneca East Tigers will head out to face off against the Riverdale Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Seneca East's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Riverdale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Braydon Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Seneca East's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Parks, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Riverdale made easy work of Upper Scioto Valley on Thursday and carried off a 15-4 win. That looming 15-4 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.
Jackson Armrose made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Phelps, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Owen Karcher also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Riverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Upper Scioto Valley only posted an OBP of .391.
The victory made it two in a row for Riverdale and bumps their season record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Seneca East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Seneca East suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Riverdale when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
