The Gilbert Tigers won the last time they faced the Cactus Shadows Falcons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Gilbert blew past Cactus Shadows 66-22 on the road. With that victory, Gilbert brought their scoring average up to 56.5 points per game.
Gilbert found their leader in underclassman Aspen McClees, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Caia Campbell, who scored 11 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Gilbert and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Cactus Shadows, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Gilbert is on the road again on Friday and play against Chaparral at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th. Chaparral will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Gilbert is ranked eighth). As for Cactus Shadows, they will look to defend their home court on November 29th against Cienega at 7:00 p.m.
