The Chittenango Bears won the last time they faced the Homer Trojans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Chittenango strolled past Homer with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. Given Chittenango's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Homer is ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryan Moesch was his usual excellent self, scoring 40 points. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chittenango's points. Jack Lamphere was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Chittenango is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Homer, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chittenango will take on East Syracuse-Minoa at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homer, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Norwich at 6:45 p.m. on January 23rd.
